Tuesday Review

Lately I have noticed that my dishes are coming out of the dishwasher w/ a slight white film. I couldn't figure it out, until I looked down at the coil and seen there was a white film all over it. I knew it needed to be cleaned, but how. Honestly, and this may be a little horrible, I have never cleaned the inside of my dishwasher. I've actually never even thought about it. So I went online and tried to find a way to clean it. Well all the suggestions I came across consisted of me scrubbing it....UHM NO! I do enough scrubbing, I was not going to be forced into doing more. I came across one suggestion that said to put a cup of vinegar in the top rack and run it. I did....it didn't work. So I came across Finish cleaner, I was skeptical, because they will say anything to sell a product right? Well my choices were: Spend $4.12 and risk it not working, or scrub it myself. Screw it I will risk the couple bucks. So I got home, and it was the first thing I did. I put it in my dishwasher, set my washer to run on the hottest cycle, ran some water in the sink first to get the water good and hot, set it and forgot it. After dinner I opened up the washer and to my surprise it was fantastically clean! White film completely gone! I'm so happy I don't have to scrub it. I have to say this was well worth every penny spent.

***I bought this product on my own, this is my opinion and I have not received any incentive for writing this review***

1 - How old do you act?
I guess that depends on the situation. I'd like to say that I act my age 100% of the time, but I don't wanna lie to you.

2 - As far back as you can remember, what did you want to be when you grew up?
First a model, then a nurse, and now...I'd still love to go into the medical field.

3 - If you were to write a book based on your life, what would the title be?
Crazy, Hectic, but Usually FUN!

4 - What's something that you do that's considered "childish" by most?
I throw fits when I don't get my way. Yep, I will throw a stink, and I know it's childish, but at the moment it doesn't seem to be.

5 - The last question isn't a question.  Write a story of a time of when you or someone you know overcame great adversity.
A story about a young girl I know:
I will not use any names to protect the identity of this person. I will not use any locations for the same reason. This won't be much of a story, but more of a statement. I'm not good at story writing.
A young girl, raped at a very tender age, got pregnant as a result. She chose to keep her child, and love her, and cherished that little girl. The strength she showed, the love she had, and the maturity, still amazes me to this day.

What Is Your Passion

Photobucket
First I want everyone to give all their love, support, and prayers to this sweet little face above. She needs all that she can get. So any spare moment you get, please ask God to watch over her and her family.

My passion is animals! I love animals of all sizes. I hate when an animal is abused, forgotten, or abandoned. In Nashville's recent flooding it's been announced all over the news and radio stations that the animal shelters are over run w/ animals. Animals that people abandoned, left to fend for themselves in the flooding. There are dogs who were found drowned because they weren't taken to safety. How can someone do that? I would forget every posession I had (aside from the hubs and kids of course) and grab my dogs. I wouldn't leave them at home and just hope they could survive. I would make sure they survive!
My neighbor has 5 horses, when we were down there watching and waiting for the rain to stop my neighbor sat there, tears in her eyes, making sure her horses didn't drown. She didn't take her eyes off her barn for a second. She couldn't take them out of the barn because the fence was destroyed and laying across my yard. If needed we would have pulled them out and held on to them, but since I have never handled a horse, we sat, we waited, and we watched. She would go walking through that rushing water to give them shots, to keep them from panicking and getting an infection. Not once did she think about leaving them. A lady down the street got her horses out of the barn because the water was too deep, her horses were all gathered under one tree...lightning struck that tree and all of her horses were killed. She is mentally destroyed right now, why...not because she had property damage, but because her horses died. I can't imagine.
Yesterday at work, I got cussed out because some guys dog was locked in his car and we couldn't give him the key code to get in the car. Well sir....that is illegal, and oh yeah dumbass, that is exactly why you DON'T leave your animals in the car. It was 85 out and I hope that dog made it ok, but I also hope that he learned a very valuable lesson.
My heart and prayers are w/ everyone in Nashville who was hurt by this flood!

Everyone has a passion about something other than their family. What is yours?

Forgive My Absence...

The only thing I can promise right now is that I probably won't be around much. Many of you know I live in Nashville, well north of it, and the weather was not kind to us this weekend. We had a lot of flooding. Please pray our driveway makes it through all this, we really can't afford to have it done again. It only got done just a little under a month ago.
If you have children please mute this..I have very colorful language!

Short & Sweet

She makes me laugh!

Picture this (and I have to add, she's a natural blonde, that color is dye!):
We are outside, taking the dogs for a little walk so they can potty and she says to me "Mom, have you ever done something stupid and thought, now that is a story I can tell?"
I say to her "My dear child, you must have a whole book to write!"

I love him so much! He has a soccer game today! Wish him luck!

I can't believe I'm having to use Internet Explorer just to blog! I hate IE!
