The Wedding - 1

The long awaited wedding story is here. I am finally getting some time to sit down and tell you all about it. We had a beautiful wedding but it didn't come without incident.

My dad came almost a month before the wedding to spend time with us and I had so much fun getting to hang out with him. I love when my dad comes up for long visits. The help was so appreciated! On Wednesday before our wedding my family started showing up. My sister Angela and her family came up to help prepare stuff (but I had a surprise for her up my sleeve!). Her daughter Olivia was our flower girl and her fiance helped with the music.

Marvin and I spent much of Wednesday, Thursday & Friday with his family finishing up last minute details. Fortunately he was able to take that week off work and they were a tremendous help. I can't imagine what we'd have done without them.

Friday ~ Rehearsal Day! What a crazy busy day. Remember that surprise I said I had for my sister...it showed up late Thursday night. My sisters friend and I had planned to surprise her. They hadn't seen each other in over 10 years, so before leaving for the day I ran to the hotel (they were in rooms beside each other) and surprised her. After that I spent the day with my now mother in law and Marvin working on party favors, decorations and our bouquets.

Rehearsal time came around and daddy had kept the kids for us and was taking them to the church to meet for the rehearsal. They got lost and I was talking to Lexi on the phone when all of a sudden she starts screaming "NO NO STOP!!!!" and then nothing. My heart was pounding.
This is what happened! Someone ran a red light right into my dad. Thank you God, all of them were without serious injury. Lexi and my niece Kristina both had to go to the ER. They were in the backseat and smacked into each other. Neither were seriously hurt tho, but very shaken up.

Rehearsal was very short and sweet. We had to get to the ER with the kids. My other sister went with the girls to the ER so that we could get a quick rehearsal in.

Stay tuned for Part 2.....coming soon!

    1. I love surprising people, though I hate surprises myself. I was surprised I kept it a secret tho.

    1. Oh yes, it was an extremely scary moment. It was instant panic. I can still hear her screams as if they were happening right now.
