Most Treasured Belonging

So here I am in thinking mode again. Thinking about all the things we treasure in life, and if there is one in particular we couldn't do w/ out, or would never let go of, aside from our families of course.
My most treasured belonging is a ring. It's a cheap little ring that says Mom on it. I don't wear it because it's to big and it's been bent to hell from when I did wear it. My mom bought me the ring, when Lexi was just 10 months old. She got it for me for Mothers Day. That ring is carried w/ me every where I go. My mom cried when she gave it to me, told me that I to would grow to be as proud of my children as she was hers.
That same year my sister (not the one that blogs, so don't go jumping on her) got my mom a ring that said Mom on it. I was living in a apartment w/ both my sisters, (imagine that, all 3 of us voluntarily living together) and for one reason or another my sister got mad at my mom and made her give the ring back. God, I remember the tears my mom shed. She was so heart broken! After a big fight w/ my sister she tried to give it back to my mom, but mom wouldn't take it.

So what is it, besides your family that you treasure?

  4. Thanks for letting everyone know it wasn't me! I don't treasure things. After leaving the ex and everything behind and then having hurricane Ivan destroy everything, you just learn. You should have learned that one too.

  5. I have a five dollar bill I carry with me that my Great Grandmother gave me for gas money to help me while I was on vacation one year, I tried to give it back but she refused saying she just wanted to help me afford the trip I had made home.

That was about twenty seven years ago.

  6. I'm with He&Me +3 up there - pictures are probably my most treasured possessions because they remind me of all the great times we've had and how fortunate we are to have the life we do.

If I had to pick an object it would be my wedding and e-ring. It signifies one of the most significant decisions I've made in my life and I thankful daily for my husband.

BTW's - found you thru Follow Friday:)
