What a week!

Before we go any further, be sure to tune in next Wednesday, I'll be hosting my very first ever give away and I'm so excited!

Man, I can't even begin to explain how stressful this week has been for me. First the snow, OMG the snow we got last weekend was insane. I was snowed in...literally. So I was stuck in the house w/ my husband and daughter for 3 full days! I was afraid I would soon look like this:

I missed work on Monday because I was still all snowed in. I couldn't go anywhere, our cars were stuck, the roads were crappy and I had no soda! I was thinking that I really needed this:

And lots of it!

I missed work on Monday because of course I was snowed in. I live down in a hollow and I have 3 options to getting out of my hollow. 2 extremely steep hills that my cars go into first gear to get up and one other steep hill (not as steep as the other 2) but it "S" curves, so if ya get stuck going up it, your kinda screwed cause it's hard as hell to back down a "S" curve w/ ice on the road. So I called the other girl that works the same position as me and asked her to work for me Monday and she agreed. They were not happy at all!

The Monday prior I missed work because of a damn stomach virus. It was death! I was poopin and pukin at the same time, I've never done that before. I really thought I was dying! So I didn't go to work, duh, because I may have pooped myself, or puked on the floor so I could sit on the toilet so I didn't. Either way I stayed home. They weren't happy! It didn't matter that 2 other people were out the same day w/ it. It didn't matter that 10 others have had it. Only I can't get sick! UGH!

So Tuesday, I go to work and have my regular day. Hubby drove me in and picked me up because the roads were still crappy. I was just getting ready to walk out the door and they say "Oh we wanna talk to you" So up to the conference room I go. They come in (they being the big boss, the office lady, and my supervisor chica) and Big Boss says "You're not fired, and I'm not looking to replace you, BUT...we are putting you on a 60 day probationary period for excessive absence and tardiness" :::Jaw hits the freakin floor::: I'm there every morning by 7:10, my shift doesn't start until 7:30 so WTF is this excessive tardiness?!? OH...SHE (being my supervisor) sends me home ALL the time early. When the girl that replaces me (late every single day) gets there, I go have my last smoke for the day and ask my supervisor what she needs me to do. She has sent me home, saying there was nothing for me to do. So now that has come back to bite me in the ass. I say "OMG you send me home" and she says "No you ask to go home." Ok at that point I'm ready to murder, so I start crying, which only in turn pisses me off even more. It was gonna come out my mouth or my eyes and the eyes was the better option. So now I'm on a 60 day probationary period.
Never mind that 80% of everyone else in that damn building walks in late on a daily damn basis...that's ok, but I'm SENT home and now I'm being docked for it. Yeah, I'm pissed off and bitter!

  6. Wow girl that was not good. Totally unfair. Crazy how people will turn on you in a heartbeat to save their own skin and make you look bad. I would be mad too.

  8. Unfortunately, someone has to be a scapegoat. It bites that it was you, literally, but miscommunication is the worst thing to have happen at your job. She thinks you're asking to go home, when you're asking what you can do before you go home. It's happened to me. I hope things start to look better soon~!!
